Purpose of the Job

∗ To ensure compliance in direct & indirect tax related matters.
∗ To ensure effectiveness of the existing controls and governance processes.

Job Accountabilities

1. Ensure the tax returns are filed on time for Indian and overseas entities of the group
2. Closely work with consultants of respective geographies to ensure all the compliance aspects are met
3. Understand the tax provisions of overseas geographies and independently compute the current and deferred tax provisions on a quarterly basis.
4. Ability to read and interpret the double tax avoidance treaties between countries and be able to take informed decisions
5. Review the inter-corporate transactions to see whether the transactions are in-line with the respective inter-company agreements.

Jobholder Profile

The jobholder will be a CA qualified person with about 1-3 years of experience in a medium to large organizations or reputed audit firm having experience in Corporate taxation functions. The job requires extraordinary drive, initiative, creativity and commitment on part of the jobholder to assist in developing the corporate tax function. Jobholder will be a result-oriented achiever, who is very good in planning and executing the assigned job as per the approved timelines and thus fulfil the purpose of the job.

Apart from the above, the jobholder will have all the required skills that company staff is expected to have such as communication, social and interpersonal skills.
