Job Description
Purpose of the Job
Ø  To provide required support in monitoring all legal activities of the Company and ensure that the Company’s interests are protected at all times and that all contracts meet these requirements.
Ø  To provide support in ensuring that the Company is well protected from all legal exposures and the contracts entered into by the Company have been reviewed and considered before finalisation.

Job Accountabilities

1.    Provide support in preparation and review of contracts, negotiating, vetting and assist in finalisation of contracts that are entered into by the Company. Ensure that exposure levels in contracts are within the acceptable criteria and/or such exposure are reviewed and considered. Ensure that all contracts follow the contract review process.
2.    Initiate steps to register corporate Intellectual Property Rights with the relevant authorities as and when required and initiate necessary proceedings in the event of infringement thereof.
3.    Reviewing employee contracts and appointment letters/Bonds as and when required and rendering advice in relation thereto.
4.    Monitor all litigation involving the Company, co-ordinate with Attorneys and ensure proper representation of the Company in the Courts.
5.    Managing, preparation, review, negotiating, vetting and finalising vendor contracts of the Company.
6.    Managing Company’s contract management tool end-to-end, which will include getting contracts signed (while ensuring that it is the final version approved by legal and contract approval sheet is in place etc.) and also ensuring the upkeep of the contracts tool plus carry out regular reporting from the data available in the tool etc.
7.    Provide legal advise on corporate legal matters.
Jobholder Profile
The jobholder will be a law graduate from reputed institute with outstanding academic credentials or a qualified person with 3-5 years of experience with a reputed law firm or in the legal department of a medium to large organisation. Software/IT experience will be preferred. The candidate should have the ability to draft and negotiate various contracts on behalf of the Company. The selected candidate will be trained in the contract management tool. The job requires extraordinary drive, initiative, creativity and commitment on part of the jobholder. Jobholder will be a result-oriented achiever, who is very good in planning and executing the assigned job as per the approved timelines and thus fulfil the purpose of the job.
Apart from the above, the jobholder will have all the required skills that any client staff is expected to have such as communication, social and interpersonal skills.
