Web Application Architect – Java

Basic Requirement

• Create system use case/UI specification documents
• Conduct impact analysis
• Define non-functional requirements – performance, compatibility, security
• Create solutions using existing products/components
• Conduct technology evaluations and prepare reports
• Have a vision and roadmap for technology upgrades aligned to project goals
• Conduct product/solution demos when required
• Conduct design/code review
• Understand and contribute recommendations to product architecture
• Understand and contribute recommendations to deployment architecture
• Expertise in Java, Java EE 6/7 Web Profile
• Expertise in HTML4/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript
• Expertise in at least one Java based MVC framework – JSF, Struts, Spring MVC
• Understanding of Modern Web Architectures design including Single Page Applications and client/API architecture
• Understanding of coding standards and ability to conduct code reviews
• Create unit test cases
• Understand code quality matrices
• Perform functional and integration testing
• Lead small / medium sized teams

Preferred Requirement

• Familiar with UML use case diagrams
• Understanding of UML design models - class diagram, sequence diagram
• Understanding of data modelling
• Knowledge of JavaScript based frameworks like Angular, React, Node.js
• Knowledge of what works in specific browsers
• Knowledge of REST services
• Perform performance/NFR testing, if required
• Experience in agile / SCRUM practices
