Design Engineer / SeniorDesign Engineer – R&D
 
Description
The candidate shall be required to apply his/her knowledge of engineering principles and practices pertinent to the assigned tasks which may include one or more of the following:
§  Designing and/or Developing various power conversion circuitry associated with FTLs & LEDs.
§  Designing and/or Developing various Lighting control modules for use with FTLs or LEDs.
§  Design and/or Development activities as an individual contributor or with an assigned team.
§  Analyzing and simulating electronic circuitry.
§  Verifying and validating relevant reliability requirements of products under development
§  Application of engineering and/or scientific skills to technical processes with support from experienced team members.
§  Helping define/refine design methods or practises.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, or Electronics associated disciplines, or Electrical Engineering.
 
Minimum Experience:
 
4 + years in SMPS/Lighting electronics or associated fields in design/research/development functionality.
Essential Skills
·         Design knowledge of AC-DC/DC-DC/DC-AC power conversion schemes.
·         Prior experience with any four of the following topologies/schemes:
o    Fly back
o    Boost
o    Buck
o    Buck-boost
o    Half-bridge
o    Forward
o    LLC resonant H-bridge
o    Resonant tank output
§  Grasp on the effects of PCB design on various performance aspects of power converters.
§  Verbal and Written communication skills in English.
 
Desired skills
§  Prior experience in LED driver design/Electronic Ballast/EHID ballast/Induction lamp generator.
§  Knowledge of various relevant standards.
§  Circuit simulation techniques.
§  PCB Layout
§  Ability to multitask.
§  Working knowledge of various Light sources and associated control schemes.
